Houston native and notable indie hip hop artist/poet/lyricist Onehunnidt has us all anxiously anticipating the release of his 2 disk project Keep It 100, with a slew of leaks released as of late and talks of new videos to be dropped soon. Although the completion date has been pushed back and speculation still surrounds his next move, Onehunnidt has continued to stay in the eyes of those awaiting his arrival. February 3, the day before the two year anniversary of his younger brother JJ being killed, Onehunnidt landed the Cover and Feature story for the February issue of local publication Houston Trend Magazine.
In “Too Real To Be Fake”, the cover story for Houston Trend Magazine, Onehunnidt is interviewed by coveted writer Cecilia Smith and the artist bears all. In the article, he touches on all subject from his music past, present and future (including the 2011 Legacy of a Legend project which was dedicated to his brother and ranked #28 in Houston Press’s top album of the year list) , poetry/spoken word appearances and his emotions on the story, life and times shared with his deceased sibling. Really an unheard emotional, tell all story, “Too Real To Be Fake” quickly became a hot topic and helped contribute to #RipJJ becoming a trending topic in Houston in Twitter on the anniversary date (Feb 4) and also recieved a profound response via twitter and to the HoustonTrendMagazine website.
“The response from [Onehunnidt]‘s interview brought the highest viewed pages on HoustonTrendMag.com” – (Elliot G, HoustonTrendMag CEO)
