the world is on its last breath.
struggle’n.hurt’n.
we put our selves on life support.
our justice system sucks!
get 100 years just for being black in court.
or for not pay’n child support.
seems like were on a black & white spiral of some sort.
girls fuckin for pleasure.
get pregnant & then wanna abort.
replaced the love of god.
for the love of money.
niggas try to buy there way 2 the land of milk & honey.
when children go to bed hungry.
carry’n guns & smoke’n blunts after blunts.
lie’n & put’n on front after front.
dealers sell’n rock after rock.
its just an illusion to make yu feel like yu on top.
come back down to earth to see yu reside in hell.
litteraly.
global warming.
guess we wasn’t listen’n when smokey said.
only you can prevent wild fires.
the art of hip-hop suffers.
& lies seem to cuff her.
did we ask how much money yu have?
did we ask how many bitchz yu have?
did we ask how many whips yu have?
not that i recall.
theres a tag on hip-hop that says recall.
therefore we gotta send it back.
im talk’n Dr. Octagon.
way back!
Create rap music cuz i’ve never done disco!
the world had LSD trip’d on its own lil fiasco.
the world is say’n.
“Let me know do i still have time to grow”
“Is my critical state set in stone?”
“Is it my time to go, or phone home?”
im eff’n dye’n here.
just let me know.
cuz im melting away.
I pray i have another glory day

This is my latest poem that I’ve written I mostly post them on my own personal blog or on facebook but now that we have this “Express Yourself” category then I will start to post on here. Now, I want to elaborate on this poem so your guys won’t be confused. I wrote this to express my thoughts on the status of our world today & the condition in which we put our earth in & how twisted us as humans think & react for our own selfish needs. I also touch on the status of hip-hop, Lauryn Hill once said ,” Hip-hop is the voice for the voiceless” hence that mostly black neighborhoods are ignored & looked over. Hip-Hop was our chance to speak out on politics & other world issues but today the reason & motivation has changed to “I wonder how many albums I can sell” or “How much jewelry & clothing I can get”. So just check it out & feel free to comment & share your thoughts.

I completely agree. Everything is compltely shot to hell. Everyone wants to be grown, yet nobody wants to be aan adult. I dont even watch tv anymore. Our children are dying. Nobody is worshipping God anymore. Instead worshipping music money drugs and all things that will surely bring demise. It makes those of us who are truly into being productive citizens start to question ourselves. Im gonna stop here cuz i can go on for hours about this mess. Love ur poem.

Thank you so much Choclitgurl74 for your comment!
I also don’t watch TV anymore I believe its a waste, everything is fueled with negative things & our world is like one depressed ball, I just do my best to make people want to change & see that if we change now there might be light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks for responding. I believe all this negativity is designed to keep us in the tunnel and distract os fromm finding our way out. Instead of looking for the light to exit we need to shine from within to find our own light. if everyone would use their own light we could find our own way out.
