Kurt Warner Breaks NFL Record for completion percentage
Kurt Warner broke the all time NFL record for completion percentage for a single game. He completed an amazing 24 of 26 passes for 243 yards and 2 TDs Sunday September 20th, as the Arizona Cardinals dominated the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 31-17 road massacre. Arizona played nearly flawless football for three quarters, building a 31-3 lead the Jaguars could only start to battle after the game was too far gone.
Not only did the QB have a stellar game, the entire Cardinal came together to put together a balanced attack across the board. Tim Hightower had 72 yards on 15 carries and a TD, and rookie Beanie Wells showcased his NFL potential by gaining 44 rushing yards on only 7 carries (although he did fumble twice).
Also Steve Breaston was able to come back from injury to lead the team in receiving yards with 83 on 5 catches, Anquan Boldin led the team in receptions with 8 for 69 yards. Larry Fitzgerald had 4 for 34 yards and a TD.
With the impressive victory, the Cardinals answered many burning questions, and so far are showing that the Super Bowl hangover, at least for them, is a myth. Also the 38 year old former Superbowl Champion and league MVP, Kurt Warner is proving that there is a lot to say about a quarterback’s experience.
Congrats
