*Updated* Steve McNair found dead

**UPDATED**

Police have concluded that the death of Steve McNair is indeed a homicide.  The gun used to shoot and kill both McNair and Sahel Kazemi was bought two nights earlier by Kazemi.  Now that we have answers to that part of the story, there are still many unanswered questions to be addressed.  It has been confirmed that this is a homicide-suicide.  Lets just call it a fatal attraction…

Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair was found dead in an apparent murder-suicide with a young woman he met at a local restaurant and have been dating for at least a few months.

Sahel Kazemi, 20, was found alongside him in a Second Avenue condo he rented.  She was a woman that McNair had been seeing for months that he met while working as a waitress at Dave & Busters.

McNair  died of several gunshots and was found on the sofa with Kazemi’s body next to his. He had been hit with multiple gunshot wounds,  she had a sing wound to her head and the pistol w that did the damage was found near her body.

Police are questioning neighbors who said they often saw McNair visiting Kazemi. Sometimes, neighbors said, she would even arrive home in a limousine in the early morning hours. She also often showed up a new black car she said was a gift from her “boyfriend”.

Two days ago she was arrested in that car. It is a black Cadillac Escalade that was registered to both Kazemi and McNair. She was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to take a breath test, McNair was sitting in the passenger seat during the arrest. Bail bondsmen say that McNair later came to bail her out.

Investigators are still piecing together details on exactly what happened. We will continually keep you up to date.

Former NFL All Pro Steve “Air” McNair has been found dead.  Police said the he  suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville.  A female victim was also found dead. No suspects have been taken into custody.

“When police officers arrived in response to that call, they found two individuals who had been shot to death inside the residence: one female, one male. We now know that the male deceased is Steve McNair. The female deceased has been tentatively identified. We’re working to confirm that and then notify her next of kin,” said Don Aaron with Metro Police on the situation. – Nashville Police Department

McNair was the star QB with the Houston Oilers/Tennesse Titans and Baltimore Ravens and the 3rd pick in the 1995 NFL draft from Alcorn State University.  He went on the become a three-time Pro Bowler and was the NFL MVP in 2003.

Man I used to LOVE McNair.  He is definately a former SWAC athlete who held it down for us in the Pros (I went to Prairie View).  I was soooo heartbroken when Titans lost to the Rams in the superbowl. ONE DAMN YARD!! grrrr. McNair will definately be missed.  He was a colorful player and seemed to be down to Earth as a human being. RIP “Air” McNair.
