NFL Linebacker’s Son Attacked by Family Dog
NFL Defensive player of the year and Linebacker for the Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, James Harrison is back in the news. Hi’s 2 year old son was recently attacked by the family pit bull dog. Pittsburgh news station WTAE Channel 4 Action News referred to the injury as “serious but not life-threatening”.
Harrison’s agent, William Parise, told The Associated Press that the child was attacked on Thursday after his mother let the dog out of its pen. Harrison was reportedly not home at the time, but was soon alerted after the incident. An animal control agency called Triangle Pet Control Services has removed the dog with plans of keeping the dog for ten days before “putting it down”.
Harrison was recently in the headlines for publicly declining to attend a Super Bowl-winner ceremory at the White House ceremony with his Steeler teammates. He skipped a trip set for Thursday with President Barack Obama to congratulate the team for their Super Bowl win.
“I don’t feel the need to go, actually,” he told Pittsburgh station WTAE-TV. “I don’t feel like it’s that big a deal to me.”
Harrison explained his decision by claiming the invitation wasn’t all that special. He said if the Steelers hadn’t beaten the Cardinals 27-23 with a last-minute rally, “He (Obama) would have invited Arizona.”
WTAE and The AP contributed to this report.

Sad story to hear about what happened to his child, but thats pretty much an A-Hole thing to say about the presidential trip. I mean that has been NFL tradition for years
